Campsites and camping in Andalusia, Spain have become incredibly popular here in Spain. It’s become the “trendy” travel alternative to staying in a hotel or hostel. Andalusian campsites are home to independent types who prefer to do their own cooking, sleep under the stars, and most importantly, appreciate and feel at home in beautiful rural settings.

There are around 200 camping sites in Andalucia province. They are divided into 1st 2nd and 3rd class, depending on the facilities they provide. Most of the campsites are by the coast and a lot of them are only open in summer.

Camping on the beach is not actually allowed in most areas (even though it is widely practiced). If your lucky, free camping areas can sometimes be found near the national parks.
